Can be stitched.<\/li>\n<li><strong><br \/>\n  <u>Excisional biopsy,<\/u><br \/>\n<\/strong> It is removed by cutting a large piece of skin with a scalpel. Stitching is always done.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What are the Stages of Skin Biopsy Procedure?<\/h2>\n<p>After injection of a local anesthetic into the area where the piece will be taken, the procedure is completed by removing a piece of skin and suturing if necessary. The application is painless because it is anesthetized. The depth of biopsies varies according to the disease. Mostly superficial adipose tissue is removed.<\/p>\n<p>The result of the fragment sent to the pathologist will be available in 4-7 days. In cases requiring special dyeing, this may take up to 2-3 weeks.<\/p>\n<h2>What are the Risks of Skin Biopsy?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bleeding<\/li>\n<li>Bruising<\/li>\n<li>Infection<\/li>\n<li>Allergic reaction<\/li>\n<li>Leave no trace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All biopsies performed by cutting will leave a small scar. These scars, which may be mostly in the form of lines, may later result in hard swelling in some sensitive people.<\/p>\n<h2>What Should Be Considered After Skin Biopsy?<\/h2>\n<p>Exercise, showering, swimming, stretching and weight lifting should be avoided for 2 days after skin biopsy. It is necessary to keep the band-aid on the suture dry. Change the band-aid the day after the biopsy.
